At 4:30 on November 24th, the Long March 5 Yaowu carrier rocket successfully launched the lunar exploration project "Chang'e 5" probe at the Wenchang Space Launch Site, and successfully sent the probe into the scheduled orbit, opening up China's first extraterrestrial sampling of celestial bodies. Seven kinds of high-quality titanium alloy castings, including the hydrogen pump casing and the interstage casing developed by our company, have been successfully applied to the hydrogen-oxygen engine of the Long March 5 Yaowu launch vehicle, helping the successful launch of "Chang'e 5". Xie Huasheng, chairman of our company, and Zhao Jun, assistant to the general manager, participated in the "Chang'e-5" launch mission as members of the test team.

The Long March 5 carrier rocket is an important project for the upgrading of China's carrier rockets. As the first large-thrust non-toxic non-polluting liquid rocket, it encountered many difficulties in innovation, a large technological span, and a high degree of complexity. The overall performance and overall technology have reached the international advanced level. The seven high-quality titanium alloy castings developed by our company, including the hydrogen pump casing and the interstage casing, are the key flow-through components of the turbo pump system of the hydrogen-oxygen engine of the "Long March 5" carrier rocket. Hydrogen pump casing castings and inter-stage casing castings are large in size, complex in structure, large in wall thickness difference, and there are a large number of thin-walled complex curved surface structures, which brings great difficulties to the forming of castings.

Our company continuously improves and perfects the level of casting technology. In the long-term development process, we have mastered high dimensional accuracy control technology, high surface quality control technology, and high internal quality control technology, which meets the requirements of the Long March 5 Yaowu carrier rocket hydrogen-oxygen engine requirements. The technological achievement of our company's titanium alloy castings for hydrogen-oxygen engines has helped the implementation of China's lunar exploration project, and has made important contributions to the country's continuous progress from a major player to a powerful player in the aerospace industry.
